Since 1981, High Meadows Academy has been committed to providing our students with high-quality and affordable early childhood education and extended care. We offer a sequenced educational program devoted to physical, linguistic, social, and emotional development.
We select our teachers based on their professional training and abilities as well as their genuine concern for creating a loving, nurturing, and caring environment that helps children become life-long learners and prepares them for Kindergarten and beyond.
What does the curriculum at High Meadows Academy offer?
We are locally-owned and well-known among Denton County families. We are a member of the National Association of Education for Young Children and are a Friends of Core Knowledge© school. High Meadows Academy is the only school in Denton County to offer the Core Knowledge© Preschool Sequence.
Our teachers, with over thirty years of combined experience, provide our students a solid base for life-long learning as they teach weekly topics that reach across the curriculum and include language development, math, reading readiness, music, Spanish, and art.
Students enjoy at least one school-wide activity enhancing their studies each month.
Can my child get an early start on their education at High Meadows Academy?
High Meadows Academy offers educational preschool for children ages two to five. We work with our parents’ schedules, allowing our students to attend from two to five days each week. Preschool curriculum is taught from 8:30 AM until 12:00 PM. Students in the Preschool program receive a morning snack and a hot lunch.
Will my child have a safe and nurturing place to stay until I finish my work day?
Absolutely! All High Meadows Academy students may enroll in our extended day program and reap the benefits of excellent care from 7:00 AM until 8:30 AM and then from 12:00 PM until 6:00 PM. They will participate in an afternoon filled with outside play, arts and crafts, and quiet time.
Does High Meadows Academy have a program for older children?
High Meadows Academy has an excellent before and after school program for Kindergarten through fifth graders. We provide transportation to and from school as well as an opportunity for outdoor play, arts and crafts, and a study area. For these students, we offer full day care during Lewisville ISD in-service days.
Does High Meadows Academy offer enriching programs during the summer?
The same care and forethought we put into other High Meadows Academy programs are present in our summer program. Students aged of two to twelve years can attend from two to five days each week. In addition to our exciting themes, children who have completed grades one through five will enjoy swimming, field trips, and more.
